The Heritage badge

Picture
To earn the "Heritage" badge we had to investigate an aspect of  local history and present this to other Scouts or as a display in a public place.  We investigated the "Middleton Archers" and put together a display which is inside Middleton Library.  We visited the Flodden Window at St Leonard's Church and made a replica of it.  The window frame is made of cardboard and masking tape, covered in paint mixed with PVA glue and a little sand to make it look like stone.  The "stained glass" is made from 16 sections of card painted to look like the sections of the window.  We made small version of a longbow from cardboard and papier-mache.
