Hike at Rivington

The weather forecast was for rain but we set off anyway and were lucky with the weather.  It just started to rain as we finished.  We travelled along the paths up to the pigeon tower, then on to the tower on the Pike itself.  The wind was incredibly strong here and it was getting cold so we dropped down through the woods and found the Japanese Water gardens where we had lunch and spent a while exploring.  After that we continued down through the woods, stopping to check out the waterfalls.  They were in full flow due to the heavy rain the day before.  We then headed down to Liverpool Castle, a folly built intentionally as a ruined castle.  After exploring here for a while we followed the reservoir path back to the carpark.
